Happy 6 Months!

Today is our six month anniversary! We made waffles with our wonderful waffle maker then spent the day doing house work. For dinner, we went to my parents. Dinner was great but we were dreaming about the Filet and Pork from the five star hotel that we ate six months earlier;)

It has been an amazing six months and we know the "Best Is Yet To Come!" (Our wedding song)

Our beautiful wedding guestbook... when I saw this idea at Jon and Lauren Mollerups wedding a few years ago, I just loved it. While they have their signed picture/guestbook above their fireplace, we chose to put ours at the top of our stairs for everyone to see when they walk in. (Our fireplace is in our basement) Our wonderful photograher, Paul Haring, photographed us at West Potomac Park in D.C. I took the blown up photo to Michaels where I had it matted to match our wedding colors - chocolate truffle brown and latte. I just love the picture we got many compliments from our wedding guests!

Basement Fun

We painted our basement Hokie colors... now really does that surprise anyone?!?!?! We chose a burnt orange color by Duron, we love their paint. Ryan stained our fireplace a deep mahogany which looks great! We have still have plenty of projects for the basement. Ryan is building a bar which we have named "BOTS" like our favorite Blacksburg hangout "TOTS". Get it... Top of the Stairs... Bottom of the Stairs. Eventually we will get a flat screen for above the fireplace, surround sound which we will also hook up outside, a couch/chairs and new window coverings... the sheets have to go;)
