WICKED

On Friday, October 31st, we went to see WICKED in NYC. The show was amazing and we highly recommend it! We had a great time in the city celebrating our 1 year anniversary!

Our New Adventure...

On June 8, we are expecting our new adventure to arrive. We told our parents this past weekend and they are extremely excited to be grandparents!!! (Everything happened so fast we didn't get a picture)

Krysta is a little over 7 weeks along and her next doctors appointment is November 11. According to the Chinese gender predictor, it says that we will be having a girl. We will find out at the end of January and we will be thrilled either way!

Celebrating our 1st Anniversary

It's hard to believe that a year has flown by... we are so happy and thankful for each other, our family and our friends. It has been an amazing year... but the best is yet to come... Here are a few of our favorite pictures from our beautiful wedding.

To celebrate our anniversary, Mom and Dad Kerzner took us to Outback and gave us the 1st anniversary Precious Moment, tickets to see Wicked on Broadway on Halloween and dinner in NYC before the play. Thank you to our family and friends for the cards, well wishes and presents.

I wanted to feed eachother bread like we did cake at our wedding but Ryan didn't go for it...

Ryan had roses sent to Krysta's office! He ordered brown roses but got the call this morning that they didn't make it through customs (brown roses have to be flown in) but the orange/pinkish ones that arrived were absolutely beautiful!

Team Kristin

On Saturday, October 11 we joined thousands of people nationwide to walk in one of the 2008 Out of the Darkness Community Walks, which benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). The AFSP is at the forefront of research, education and prevention initiatives designed to reduce the number of lives that are lost to suicide. Every 16 minutes a person dies by suicide, ending more than 31,000 lives a year in the U.S. (over one million worldwide). Suicide is also the third leading cause of death among teens and young adults.

As many of you know, a good family friend Kristin Harkness died on February 22nd 2008 after a night of binge drinking with friends during her freshman year at FSU. While we still don't believe she meant to take her own life that night, The Harkness family formed Team Kristin to remember Kristin and to help increase awareness about substance abuse and suicide prevention so that hopefully others will be saved from this tragic fate. We walked to remember Kristin and to celebrate the love, laughter and fun-loving spirit she shared with family and friends during her short life.

Today, Krysta's aunt sent us super cute pictures of our godchildren wearing their back to school presents... VT Sweatshirts! It gets cold in Maine early so we figured sweatshirts were a good investment.

Amy and her boyfriend Alan were in town visiting family and touring DC. We met up for dinner at Maggiano's in Tysons. We ate "family style" and had leftovers for a week! It was great catching up with Amy:)

Nicholas Sparks

Nicholas Sparks signed his new book "The Lucky One" at the Fairfax Costco on Saturday, October 4 from 12pm - 2pm. Ryan and I got to Costco at about 10:45am and the line was already wrapped around two aisles. I picked up a few books and waited in line. Ryan walked around the store for a bit, brought me some free food samples then waited until the book signing started. To my surprise, Nicholas sparks walked through the entire line taking pictures with fans before the signing.
